Introduction

Sublime Society is a groundbreaking framework for establishing a decentralized society, with a core objective of shifting value from the centralized economy to the decentralized one.

At its core, the Sublime Society equips communities with the essential tools to come together, organize around ideas, generate value, and distribute income in an open and equitable manner.

Our overarching ambition is to create a societal structure that ensures the optimized utilization of human resources and fosters equal opportunities for all members. We strive to establish a system that facilitates the fair distribution of wealth, creating a pathway for shared prosperity.

What is society, and why does it need to change?

In order to understand the need for change, it is essential to grasp the concept of society and its current state. Society refers to a collective of individuals who share common interests, beliefs, and culture, often organized geographically. However, the existing societal structures, encompassing religion, education, media, economy, and government, predominantly operate through centralized control.

These centralized systems often fail to serve the best interests of the people. Instead, they are designed to maintain control, limiting individual freedom and promoting narrow narratives. Furthermore, these systems tend to benefit a select few, concentrating power and wealth in their hands. This historical trend of control has led to damaging decisions being made on behalf of humanity, with little regard for the collective well-being.

The consequences of maintaining the status quo are dire. If left unaddressed, the future appears bleak, as the current systems perpetuate unsustainable practices and hinder progress. Despite this being a concern shared by millions of individuals, a lack of global coordination, strategic focus, and persistent attempts to dismantle progressive initiatives have impeded meaningful change.

It is imperative to recognize the need for a transformative shift in society to address these challenges and create a more sustainable and equitable future. The Sublime Society aims to be at the forefront of this change, offering a decentralized framework that empowers individuals and enables collective progress.

Society 2.0 — We now have the power to make a change

We are now in a transformative era where we possess the necessary tools to create a superior solution, a better system that empowers us to shape a society that serves the collective interests of humanity and the well-being of our planet.

Decentralization stands as the cornerstone of this new approach. By dismantling the centralized pillars of control that have long governed our society, we grant individuals the power to define what truly works. This fundamental shift allows us to uproot the influence of a select few who have engaged in self-centered conflicts, greed, and harmful pursuits. In doing so, we construct a framework that promotes the common good, bypassing biased, manipulative, and ideologically driven interferences.

To realize this vision, we must systematically address each constituent part of society, recognizing their significance and exploring decentralized alternatives to improve upon them. By carefully examining and transforming these elements, we pave the way for a society that operates in a fair, transparent, and equitable manner, driven by the collective interests of its members.

Building a Sublime Society

The inspiration for our name, Sublime Society, derives from an 18th-century London-based club known as The Sublime Society of the Beefsteak. This club consisted of a diverse group of eccentric individuals and creative minds who gathered on a weekly basis to enjoy port, savor steak, and engage in jovial singing.

While the original club was exclusive in nature, our Sublime Society embraces inclusivity and welcomes individuals from all walks of life. Our ultimate ambition is to establish the framework for a truly sublime society, embodying the concept in its most literal sense.

The Sublime Society comprises three core components, each essential to its functioning:

• Identity: The notion of identity plays a crucial role in our decentralized framework. In contrast to conventional identification systems controlled by authorities, we introduce I_AM, a decentralized ID system that allows individuals to define and express their identities on their own terms. This innovative approach empowers individuals, ensuring privacy and freedom of expression.
• Community: Communities form the backbone of our society. We provide the tools and support for communities to coalesce, organize around ideas, and create value collectively. These vibrant communities foster collaboration, creativity, and a sense of belonging, enabling members to thrive and contribute to the broader ecosystem.
• Governance: Effective governance is vital for the Sublime Society to function democratically and transparently. We establish a decentralized governance model that grants decision-making power to the community members. Through consensus mechanisms and participatory voting, community members have a voice in shaping the direction of our society and ensuring fairness and accountability in governance processes.

By integrating identity, community, and governance, we establish the foundation for a sublime society that promotes inclusivity, creativity, and a collective pursuit of shared values and aspirations.

Identity

Identity theft is a prevalent issue in today’s world, with centralized control over personal information being the norm. In a society where privacy is often disregarded, the need for a decentralized identity (ID) system becomes imperative. Introducing I_AM, a revolutionary decentralized ID system that redefines how we perceive and define our identities. Inspired by the concept of a higher consciousness that connects all beings, I_AM represents a paradigm shift in our approach to identity.

Conventional identification systems such as passports, licenses, and birth certificates are typically assigned by authorities, requiring individuals to relinquish their identity to function in various contexts. However, I_AM turns this concept on its head. In the I_AM framework, individuals become the owners of their own identity, defining and presenting it on their own terms. This allows for the existence of multiple identities tailored to different contexts, empowering individuals with the choice of which identity to share with specific parties.

I_AM plays a crucial role within the decentralized framework of the Sublime Society, drawing inspiration from concepts outlined in the Soulbound white paper by Vitalik Buterin (published in May 2022). The Sublime Society envisions a society built on decentralized technology, granting individuals greater control over their lives and distributing power more evenly. I_AM is a critical component of this framework as it provides a secure and decentralized means for individuals to assert their identity.

With I_AM, power is returned to the individual, where it rightfully belongs. Furthermore, being decentralized, I_AM is immune to external control or censorship. This empowers people to freely express their identities without fear of being censored, silenced, or persecuted.

The potential applications of I_AM are vast. It can be utilized for identity verification in online marketplaces, social media platforms, and other digital spaces. It can also enable the creation of a more secure and decentralized voting system, allowing individuals to verify their identity without relying on centralized authorities. In regions where oppression is prevalent, and the freedom of speech is curtailed, an I_AM ID empowers individuals to exercise their right to free speech. Additionally, I_AM can facilitate more personalized and targeted advertising, allowing individuals to selectively share specific information about themselves with advertisers.

By introducing I_AM, the Sublime Society fosters a society where individuals have greater control over their identities, ensuring security, privacy, and freedom of expression within a decentralized framework.

Creative theme: As outlined in a previous article the creative theme we are adopting from the start is cats. As a decentralised society members are free to choose whichever visual representation of themselves they choose, however in the interests of building awareness of Sublime Society we would urge people to choose a cat identity in the early stages. Community

Sublime Society embraces a unique approach to societal funding, drawing inspiration from the principles of Georgism — an economic philosophy advocating for the generation of public wealth through the utilization of land and its resources, rather than treating it as private property. In alignment with Georgism, Sublime Society imposes taxes on the value of land, referred to as VNS (Vibes Naming Service), to generate revenue for the development of communities, utilities, and public goods within our ecosystem.

Our taxation model is designed to be fair and progressive, reflecting our vision of an equitable and just society. The concept behind this model is that within the Vibes Community Experience (vibes.cx) ecosystem, there will be no other form of taxation. The revenue generated through VNS taxes will fund all other aspects of our society.

In addition to our innovative funding approach, we actively encourage the establishment of diverse communities within the Sublime Society ecosystem. Individuals are welcome to start their own ‘vibes’ communities, similar to the Ethereum Naming Service (ENS) for communities. However, unlike ENS, the ownership of .VIBES addresses will be collective, rented by the members of the respective sub-communities.

Renting .VIBES addresses will involve ongoing fees, which will be covered by community members based on their community’s governance structure. Different fee structures will be implemented for various community .VIBES addresses, taking into account their popularity and demand. For instance, a community address like music.vibes may command higher revenue compared to garyglitter.vibes.

We firmly believe that our approach to societal funding is a transformative game-changer, revolutionizing traditional economic systems. It has the potential to reshape the distribution of wealth, ensuring that everyone has fair access to resources necessary for their well-being and growth.

However, creating a just society is a gradual process that requires continuous effort. We are committed to realizing this vision and invite early community members to pioneer sub-communities across diverse subject areas by establishing the first VIBES topics within the Sublime Society Telegram channel.

Our goal is to foster an environment where communities can flourish, irrespective of their revenue-generating potential. Initially, the functionality will focus on basic messaging and voting features. As the ecosystem expands, vibes communities will have the opportunity to undertake more complex projects, facilitated by user-friendly tools that transform their ideas into reality.

The Vibes marketplace will serve as a platform offering a range of tools, including integrated AI tools and other decentralized technologies, enabling communities to create websites, mobile apps, and other digital products. This marketplace will empower communities to showcase their talents, collaborate, and explore innovative possibilities within the Sublime Society ecosystem.

Governance

Central to the achievement of Sublime Society’s decentralized societal framework is the implementation of a participation-based voting and reward mechanism, where income distribution is based on individual community members’ contributions to the success of the projects they align themselves with, rather than their financial resources.

This approach draws inspiration from Nikola Tesla’s theory of the universe:

Energy represents an individual’s effort within the vibes communities they choose to dedicate their time to.

By actively engaging in sub-groups and projects, their frequency — indicative of their contributions — will be elevated and validated by their fellow community members. As their frequency increases, they gain greater voting power and receive more rewards through revenue sharing within the specific vibes communities they participate in, based on their frequency score in each community. The collective frequency score across all the communities a user participates in determines their level of income as part of the redistribution of overall societal taxation purse revenues.

Voting power and taxation revenue share are also weighted according to the status of each individual vibes community a member belongs to. This approach challenges the traditional notion of First and Third World countries by flipping it on its head. In Sublime Society, all vibes communities start as First World Communities. As communities evolve through factors such as member growth, revenue generation, and societal impact, they progress to Second World, Third World, and so on.

The higher the world, the greater the share of overall societal tax income community members will receive. This incentivizes communities to collaborate and work together to ascend to higher worlds.

$VIBES serves as the native token of Sublime Society, fulfilling multiple functions. It is not only used to reward contributions and distribute profits but also as a means of payment for products and services through the marketplace, content and art via the media platform, and classes via the education platform.

Initially, $VIBES will be launched on the Ethereum protocol. However, there are future plans to explore the addition of other protocols to expand the potential audience base and enhance the versatility of the ecosystem.

Sublime Society adopts a unique approach to the distribution of $VIBES tokens, aiming for fairness and accessibility for all participants. The initial focus is on rapid community growth and generating revenue to build the first iteration of Sublime Society.

Allocation of $VIBES tokens:

No tokens are being allocated to team members, instead 100% is being distributed in a fair and open way in the best interests of the society at large.

• 30% of the tokens have been released to the market during a stealth launch pre-Genesis phase. No marketing efforts have been made during this stage, and the distribution has largely been driven by word-of-mouth, allowing those who share the vision to acquire the tokens.
• 30% of the tokens will be distributed evenly across wallet addresses linked to profile pages that minted a Sublime Society SBT during the genesis minting phase. This allocation aims to reward early participants and contributors to the Sublime Society ecosystem.
• 30% of the tokens will be distributed proportionally through a daily auction mechanism called Club 432. The highest bidder in each daily auction gains access to Club 432 and can claim a Club 432 badge. The auction proceeds will be sent to the Sublime Foundation wallet, which is community-owned and managed. Each Club 432 badge also receives 1% of the total balance of the Club 432 token holdings wallet. The distribution to Club 432 attribute badges decreases slightly each day but continues indefinitely.
• 10% of the tokens will be allocated to the community-owned and managed Sublime Foundation wallet. The Sublime Foundation serves as a treasury for the community to fund initiatives and projects aligned with the Sublime Society vision.

In addition to the primary token distribution, there are bonus allocations for holders of specific tokens:

• Holders of $EDGE tokens receive a bonus allocation based on the amount held, with higher amounts attracting greater bonuses.
  33.3% bonus for wallets containing 100–999 $EDGE
  66.6% bonus for wallets containing 1000–9999 $EDGE
  99.9% bonus for wallets containing >10,000 $EDGE
• Holders of $LSVR tokens as of December 25th, 2022, receive a bonus allocation of 33%.
• Holders of either $FUND or $AFB tokens receive a bonus allocation of 33%.
• The first 369 Sublime Society SBTs minted via sublime.cx receive a bonus allocation of 33%.
• The first 69 Twitter accounts that update their profile pictures with their minted I_AM cat receive limited edition attribute badges.

The $VIBES token operates on a 0% tax mechanism for both buying and selling. The contract has not been renounced to allow for community discussion and consensus on the future direction of Sublime Society.
